COVENTRY, UNITED KINGDOM: BluWood International, a Canadian corporation and the exclusive worldwide distributor of the eco-friendly BluWood NexGen™ product line, announced today that their UK Licensee, BluWood NGA Limited, has achieved unparalleled fire test results for the BluWood NexGen™ wood protection system.
Chiltern International Fire Ltd, in coordination with BM TRADA, the world’s leading testing agency for wood products, performed tests on wall units coated with BluWood NexGen™ FlameShield. The units withstood nearly 1000 degrees of heat and fire for more than 119 minutes. These extraordinary results were announced earlier today in concert by BluWood International President & CEO Robert Seaman and BluWood NGA Managing Director Steve Browne at the 2011 Timber Expo Conference taking place in Coventry, England.
“Achieving these results will revolutionize the way homes are built,” said Mr. Seaman. “Our BluWood NexGen™ products take building and construction to a new level through their environmental benefits and high safety ratings. These results allow us to bring this high standard to the international community and to world-class construction companies and manufacturers. This new data changes everything.”
The BluWood NexGen™ products are superior to anything on the market not only because of their unequaled ability to protect against mould, insects, rot, water damage, and, most importantly, fire, but the fact that the protected coating is simply sprayed on.
The BluWood NexGen™ protection system is an environmentally friendly protective coating that contains no VOC’s and can be used on any type or wood or wood product. It comes in a clear coat or can be custom tinted to any colour.
